Went here on Friday 10/08 for hen night. Was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews. Worried unnecessarily as it was a brilliant night from start to finish.
Staff we found were very polite and attentive. We had ‘Cat’ serving our table, who made sure our glasses were never empty being it the Prosecco provided or water. Food was really good. We had steak and the lamb which was all cooked to perfection.
The MC was excellent as was the show.
Would have no second thoughts about returning here. The venue was somewhat nostalgic and perfect for our night.
Thank you all at Cafe de Paris
An amazing night. Was a bit apprehensive, after reading mixed reviews, but it's one of the best nights I've ever had! The cabaret was captivating from start to finish. The food was far better than i was expecting, beings though there was a vast venue to serve. We had the steak and it arrived hot and cooked to perfection. Our charming waiter Mihal, magically appeared, as soon as our glasses needed replenishing. Great night! I'd definitely recommend you pay Cafe de Paris a visit.
It was our friends last night living in London so a group of us went out to celebrate. We hadnt started our evening yet - aka we were sober - and the manager refused entry to the last friend in our group because he claimed he was “drunk”. Lol I just moved to London from LA and not one elite night club in LA or Vegas would deny entry for no legit reason. And these are night clubs that host world renound DJs. Not sure who cafe de Paris think they are but they need to take a seat and chill out, more embarrassing that they live up to the horrible reviews and do nothing to change it
I wanted to like this place. As a Londoner, I always walked past and never went in. It came across as a tourist trap, and I read some bad reviews, especially about the staff. I understand working in a club, you probably dislike drunk people, but the staff at Cafe de Paris need to understand that: this doesn’t mean you should assume everyone is a drunkard and even if so, these people are your customers and people.
So I paid for the Gold package for the Cabaret. The show was good and the performers impressed. The food, however, less so. The steak was burnt. It tasted bitter like charcoal.
When the club night started, I went to ask the DJ for a song and one of the security guard stood in front of me like a barricade and said no song requests. OK. The kind of music they play here really sucks too, it’s the same club music you would hear 5+ years ago. Pop chart songs.
And then our friend arrived at 10, and of course the door staff refused to let her in. I wasn’t even annoyed or tried to argue because I read reviews online that this is typical of the door staff. I thought that perhaps some people who posted this comment were drunk, but the friend who came wasn’t too drunk at all.
All in all, I wanted to like it and went with an open mind, but the night went the way many warned.
Having read previous reviews I was apprehensive when visiting on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago. However had a really good time and found no trouble getting in (two brown females). We were on the club guestlist so free entry before 12. Drinks are expensive hence the promoters outside offering free drinks all night if you pay £20 to get in. They were slightly aggressive so we declined. I saw they had a table at the club with vodka and mixer. Music was a great mix of club classics and current stuff. We were dancing all night. The toilet on the lower floor is absolutely tiny, it's ridiculous, didn't visit the other toilet though.
